Alliums are one of my alltime favourite plants. But what do you do when they have dried out. A member of the onion family, this ornamental flower looks absolutely stunning when in flower. In fact, I always think that they have the appearance of a continual fireworks display.

However, when they have finished flowering, and their purple or white flowers have faded, the heads retain this incredible shape which, I have seen used in floral displays in the Great Pavillion at Chelsea Flower Show.

But, I've got another idea of what I plan to do with mine...
