Processing the wild clay you dig yourself is straightforward. You can use the wet or dry method, and in either case the goal is the sameremove impurities like stones, sand, roots, and twigs to improve the working consistency of your wild clay.

You can use some unprocessed clays, too, but it introduces a whole host of new challenges to confront. Processed wild clays will have all the character of a noncommercial clay, but will be more consistent, workable, and straightforward.
