Of all the flavors in the world… what do you think would be considered the absolute worst? Is there even a way to classify this? After all, deciding whether a flavor is “bad” or not many times comes down to personal preference. Many people, for instance, hate the taste of bananas, or brussel sprouts, or even lima beans. Anthony Bordain went on record as saying that fermented shark was the worst tasting dish he had ever eaten in his life. Well, we here at Brainiac happen to love all these things… uhm, well, maybe not the fermented shark because to be honest, we haven’t had the privilege of trying it yet (I’m sure a few brave souls here would though!). But, believe it or not, there’s one substance that is scientifically proven to be one of the, if not THE most bitter substance on the planet. To put it’s bitterness in perspective, one teaspoon of it can still be tasted if dropped into an Olympic sized swimming pool. Oh, you read correctly. So… just what is this incredibly nasty substance?
