Here's another Trademark Health Tip from the Trademark Doctor.

I often get asked, "What is a Trademark?"

A trademark can be anything that indicates the source of goods or services.

It can be a word.
Like the word "Nike" for shoes.

It can be a logo.
Like the Cow logo for Borden foods.

It can be a set of words.
Like YouTubes's "Broadcast Yourself."

It can be a product shape.
Like the shape of a CocaCola bottle.

It can be a slogan.
Like L'Oreal's "Because You're Worth It."

It can be a color.
Like Owens Corning's pink color for fiberglass insulation.

In a nutshell, a trademark is anything that identifies your goods and services, and distinguishes them from another company's goods and services.

That's it!
