The great sundew, like other carnivorous plants, holds a grisly fascination for many people.

But this once common plant has become rare in England as the country has lost much of the wetlands and peat bogs where it lives. Many other plants share its fate of being vulnerable or endangered of extinction due to habitat loss. Conservation initiatives are helping to reintroduce species to their old habitats.

The Natural History Museum in London is home to over 80 million specimens, including meteorites, dinosaur bones and a giant squid. Our channel brings the Museum to you from what goes on behind the scenes to surprising science and stories from our scientists.
