Today I'm sharing 4 scientific findings about Afro hair. The information in this video comes from my studies in trichology as well as books, hair science symposia & scholarly articles.

Note that human hair is varied in many different ways, and researchers from South Africa have argued against the use of "race" in hair science, as it disregards people whose hair does not fall into the traditionally demarcated categories of African, Asian, and European. In this model, African typically means tightly curly, Asian pin straight and European straight and wavy.

This video's going to focus on highly textured hair in people of African descent.
