It's tempting to believe that the goal of Christian faith is to get us saved. We received the news that Jesus dies for our sins, we prayed the prayer to receive that gift, maybe we've been baptized to tell the world that we are saved people. And there's nothing wrong with these things, but for Jesus, this is incomplete. Derek talks about how Jesus expects a return on what he has given you.
