Panthera unciais the scientific name of the animal that is commonly known as a snow leopard and known to inhabit the mountain ranges with some of the harshest weather conditions in Central and South Asia. So how do snow leopards look like and what visual traits make them suitable for living in the elevated areas with the endless snow and the cold?

In this educational video presentation about the ounce animal, we will talk about the peculiarities of the well insulated coat that protects the body and keeps in warm, the rosettes (black spots) that help blending with the environment and other adaptations these large cat have that allow them to live and enlarge the population.
