This is a raw conversation and though we try our best to reverence and respect God, we do not have to hide our FEELINGS from Him.

Have you ever thought that reverencing Him could also be being honest with Him and trusting in His character even when we haven’t seen it?

To claim His goodness in the middle of the bad…

Would that not be faith?

He says to me “bring those emotions to Me too. When you do… when you’re raw…. you create space for Me to elevate you in truth”.

I had to learn this the hard way. I would go through tough things and because God was big and scary in my mind and not My gentle Father, I didn’t know how to talk to Him.

How can I be respectful but be honest? It’s in the most honest and raw moments I’ve had with Him that He eliminates the FALSE BELIEFS that seem true to me and wraps me with His love in TRUTH.

I ask myself, how will I ever know what really happened when I’m disappointed if I don’t have an honest conversation with Him? He doesn’t owe us a response, but He’s faithful to “Father” us. And in this way, I learned not to demand answers from a place of expectation, but to come to Him in my ignorance as His child…

Let Him show me the truth of the matter… this IS REVERENCING Him. You’re stating with your actions that I believe you’re GOOD even if this situation doesn’t seem to speak to that.

It’s giving Him room to speak for Himself, instead of being disappointing when we only see 0.000086% of the equation.

He’s ALWAYS met with me there. It’s open. It’s honest. It’s raw. It’s real.

You can’t lose because the end result is further trust in His character and a deepening of truth in our Spirit.

One of the worst things I have ever done is hide how I feel from A Father who already knows.
