5/21/22:

On May 21st we headed into Wyoming with the goal of capturing coal trains along the BNSF Orin Subdivision. This is the mainline into and out of the Powder River Basin, famous for producing the most coal anywhere in the United States. This 3 & 4 track line handles up to 55 BNSF & UP Coal trains which all have to battle numerous uphill grades while negotiating the rolling hills of the Wyoming grasslands. Sit back & relax and watch as EMD & GE's finest modern diesel power is pushed to the absolute max lugging 15,000ton coal trains upgrade through breathtaking scenery.
