Weather Channel 1997 music mix

Follow
Alex The Tiger

Another authentic mix of Weather Channel music. This time, we're in 1997.
Considered by some, it's the golden age of The Weather Channel. Trammell Starks, who I believe was commissioned by The Weather Channel circa 1996 to make music, was behind a lot of the music you heard on the Weather Channel in the mid to late 90s. And you may have unknowingly heard samples of his music in vaporwave. Primarily in mallsoft and signalwave. As with some other artists who's music was featured on the Local on the 8s.

If you clicked here for 90s Weather Channel nostalgia (I imagine that's the case), you may be interested to know that there is a WeatherStar4000 emulator. https://battaglia.ddns.net/twc/ So you can get your local forecasts in that 1997 style. Though, I have also heard that The Weather Channel has actually started doing a retro LOT8s lately. I approve wholeheartedly of that, and hope they continue doing more nostalgic call backs like that.
