In this channel we are going to show the steps of how we build our first loft with our own hands. We will show from the beginning with the premises completely empty, how we are dividing the spaces according to our ideas, the different materials used, the mixture of textures and the decoration of the environments, focusing on the industrial style that combines with our way of seeing and feeling our home.

We will show many ideas of how we build and work with materials, which will serve as a basis and example for your future work.

The works were achieved before the pandemic and they still continued with the final details. You will see the construction step by step, with mistakes, successes and tips that can provide ideas for your DIY and construction adventures.

A fundamental feature of the industrial style is to strip the structures, beams, pipes, tubes, cables and bricks of the walls, leaving them perfectly visible.

We use more noble materials such as wood, which provide warmth. Essential have been the metal elements: steel, iron, aluminium, present both in furniture, especially in tables and chairs, and in accessories. On the other hand, cement is also present in floors and walls. As for textures, natural ones predominate.
The colors chosen for the different elements are neutral, especially white, grey, black and brown. Being able to add small details in colors in decoration elements, such as objects, paintings and carpets.
Our furniture follows the vintage style, we turn to antique stores and flea markets, making use of recyclable materials. We add pieces of furniture typical of factories, such as shelves, coat racks. Other pieces of furniture that fit perfectly are the metal tables, the showcases and antique objects.
Another important factor was making the most of natural light, with windows, skylights and glass partitions. Large metal lamps, exposed light bulbs and cinema spotlights are very typical of this style.
