Watchmaker's Centring Microscope Part 6

Kosmos Horology

Part 6 of a series showing the building of a centring microscope in my horological workshop in London. I've decided to remake the body of the instrument, because after all the corrections to it, I no longer had faith in its concentricity and axial truth.

I had naturally learned quite a lot during the making and abandoning of Mark I, and the second version gave me less trouble when setting it up for the various turning and milling operations, although it is still a very laborious exercise especially if you want a good surface finish throughout.

Please watch the preceding videos there is a lot of talking on them, but they do give a good background to the project!
