Shanda Vander Ark is facing a firstdegree felony charge of murder and child abuse in the first degree for alleged crimes that stem back to July of 2022.

The specifics of the torture 15yearold Timothy Ferguson allegedly had to endure from both his mother Shanda and older brother, 20yearold Paul Ferguson, were spoken in the courtroom for the first time Wednesday.

Paul is also charged with one count of 1st Degree Child Abuse in the 60th District Court.
