On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) honored DPS officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty at our annual Peace Officers Memorial Service at DPS Headquarters in Austin.

Additionally, DPS unveiled and dedicated its new Fallen Officers Memorial at this year’s Memorial Service. The new memorial serves as a permanent place to remember those we have lost.

Every year, the DPS Peace Officers Memorial Service offers an opportunity to pay tribute and honor the legacy of our fallen DPS officers who have selflessly given their lives in the line of duty.
