Pretty simple generative evolving longform piece on the eurorack system.

Recorded direct to Bitwig Studio on a Macbook Pro via ES9/Arturia Audiofuse.

Video shot on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k with a Sirui 35mm anamorphic lens + 1.25x anamorphic adapter. Editing and colour grading done in Da Vinci Resolve.



Patch notes for the modular people:

Bitbox Micro: Playing looping sample created in DAW with Lunaris.

Lead voice 4ms Ensemble osc.

Trigger from Marbles T1 to Ladik Skipper (50%) multed to ADSR1 + ADR2. ADSR1 AMP to Output ES9, and mult (copy) goes into Magneto for processing. ADR2 into attenuverter (Poles) then into Twist input on 4ms Ens. which sounds like the filter opening on the Ens. to give that Vangelis brass sound. Med speed Sine CV from Batumi through attenuverter (Poles) also modulates Balance input on 4ms Ens. (with Detune set to about 50%, change in Balance adds some of that detune from the 2nd voice into the main mix). Pitch/1voct controlled by Sinfonion Ch1 Output. Sinfonion Ch1 input from Cara/Marbles X1 Output.

Chainsaw (bass)

Sinonfion Ch3 to 1voct Chainsaw, unchanging. C#. Chainsaw in SAW mod lots of detune, stereo outs to stereo in on Vult Freak filter with cutoff modulated via URA RFlux output.

Twin Waves bouncing ball (Sine wave)

1voct from Sinfonion ch2 via RndStep ch1 biopolar output (trigger T3 from Marbles through Skipper at 50%), Sample source: URA Out B. Twin Waves Sine out to Delta V VCA 1 Ch1 set to triggered LFO mode for bouncing ball effect fast attack, with delay modulated via Batumi attenuated sine LFO. Output of Delta V ch 1 into VCA of Ch2 in envelope mode slower attack and delay so that bouncing ball effect ramps in/out.

Marbles Spread modulated via Ochd slow LFO.

Marbles Rate modulated via Ochd slow LFO (attenuated)

Magneto for interesting synth flurries by sampling copied output from Ensemble osc. Magneto in Loop and Shift mode (yellow). Repeates modulated via Ochd LFO (attenuated). Infinite reverse and play inputs triggered by Greyscale Permutation outputs 2,5,8. Magneto set to Wet out only.
