Amy Robsart or by her married name, Amy Dudley is most famous, sadly, for her death. On the 8th September 1560, Amy was found dead at the foot of a flight of stairs, apparently having broken her neck. Her inquest was death by accident, but due to her husband Robert Dudley being the favourite of Elizabeth I, rumours began that her death might actually be murder. This video takes a look at the parts of Amy's life that get forgotten, and the different scenarios regarding her tragic passing...
