For a century, veterans have provided their testimonies, thousands of hours of images and countless photos and documents have been analyzed by historians. The latter wrote a lot about this war which was to be the “Der des Der”. However, 100 years later, recent archaeological discoveries have made it possible to decipher the Great War in a new light. Ammunition, bladed weapons, buried trenches, underground galleries, rest camps, forgotten graves... All these traces left by the soldiers provide new information on the lives of these men, these “Poilus”.
