In this review of the WalkingPad R2 2In1 Treadmill, I go over everything that you need to know and how it performed for us. This is a compact, versatile treadmill that can be used under a desk and on its own. It has collapsible handles that fold down to slide the R2 under most sized desks, and they fold up to be used for balance when this treadmill is in the middle of a room.

The WalkingPad R2 has a deck that folds in half like other treadmills from the brand. When it’s folded, it can be stored upright too. This makes it extremely storable so you can slide it against a wall or put it in a closet out of the way.

The R2 has transportation wheels, although they’re a little small for our liking. It can be moved, but it is harder to roll the treadmill over floors like thick carpets. This treadmill only weighs about 90 lbs, so it’s relatively easy to move even though the wheels are small.

The brushless motor is pretty quiet. I’ve been using this treadmill at my desk with my coworkers and they don’t find it to be very disruptive. When the handles are folded down and this is used at a desk, the max speed is 3.7 mph. When the handles are up and this is used as a standalone treadmill, it goes up to 7.5 mph. Like most treadmills, the motor gets a little louder as the speed increases, but overall this model is pretty quiet and appropriate for most home spaces.

With how storable, versatile, and compact the WalkingPad R2 is, we recommend it for home and shared offices, apartments, and condos, as well as use on upperlevel floors.

Even though the speed goes up to 7.5 mph, the deck is only 17” x 42” long so it might not be large enough for users with long running strides. I’m 5’1” for reference and I can use it at the max speed, however, I don’t have the longest stride length. Plus, the R2 can only handle users up to 240 lbs, so keep in mind that this small treadmill isn’t best for large users.

The R2 is adjusted with a handheld remote, and you can connect your phone to the KS Fit app to adjust it. The app lets you see other workout metrics and adjust different features on the treadmill. It’s free and straightforward to use.

Overall, the WalkingPad R2 2In1 Treadmill is a great option if you’re looking for an underdesk treadmill that you can use on its own for primarily walking and some jogging.
