This is a movie of our Russianblue (cross + ?) Katiana. She is a rescue cat from the Lost Dog's Home in Gracie St, North Melbourne. She came to us in March 2011 and was already about five years old. She had been fostered by a wonderful woman at the Dog's home (cattery section) because she came in in such bad condition, the she was up for adoption and that's where we came in. She has the most beautiful nature, and we love her a great deal. She didn't show any desire to go outside during winter but then spring came and we are typical Aussies and like to live outside. We realised that if we didn't let her out we were going to be stuck inside all summer, but then we thought of trying a leash. She was into it pretty much from the start, it only took her an hour or so to adjust. Now she asks us to go for walkies every day and you can see how she jumps up onto the table so we can put the harness on her. She has a pavlovian response, hehe, and clearly associates the harness with a fun time outside. Just goes to show how a rescue cat can bring so much joy to your life. We love our Kattie to bits. Sorry I say 'good girl' like a broken record in this movie, feel stupid but we do think she is a very good girl.
