We are so excited to share this idea for making a great portable sandwich embedded in a waffle. We plan to use these out on the trail in our sidebyside, and on car trips as well. And the variations are endless.

1973 Betty Crocker Enriched Waffle Recipe
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup melted shortening or butter or ghee
Mix all ingredients together and bake in a hot waffle iron.
