How to remove the rear bumper on the VW Passat 20052011 B6 3C2

Start by removing the rear lights by opening the boot, take a T20 torx to remove the hook. Pry the boot lining away. Bojo ATH2NGL.

Remove the connectors by pulling the tab. Remove 3 10mm nuts. The outer rear light will now come away from the car.

Remove the 4 T30 torx that were hidden by the rear lights.

In the rear arches remove 4 T25 torx screws on each size.

Go underneath the car and remove a further 6 T25 Torx.

Go back to the arches and try to pull the center of the trim clip down. If you can't it's ok you can just split the bumper where the clip goes in by pulling the bumper out hard.

Now you can remove the bumper preferably with 2 people by pulling the side out and pulling the bumper straight back away from the car. Don't forget to disconnect the number plate light wiring before taking the bumper well away from the car.
