Volcoross Normal and Volcoross Heroic guide! Volcoross is a lava serpent boss in the Amirdrassil raid of Dragonflight. This Volcoross guide for Volcoross will walk you through the important healer, tank and DPS raid mechanics you need to clear this Amirdrassil raid boss.

You fight Volcoross in one phase. Tanks should taunt during the Cataclysm Jaws cast so that it lands on the fresh tank.
Split the raid evenly in half and assign half to travel left (clockwise) and the rest to travel right (counter clockwise). At 100 energy, Volcoross sets up two big meteorstyle soak rings (splitting damage among everyone in them) and you want half the team in each one, with a bare minimum of four players per soak. The second set of soaks are on opposite sides of the large ring platform, so splitting the team in two makes it easy to be there.

Run Coiling Flames rings back a bit and away from other players. Get out from under the dark shadow indicating a Scorchtail Crash. Heal through raid damage, stand near the existing lava to bait puddles and work your way around the ring in your assigned direction. Most mechanics in the Volcoross fight drop lava, so continued movement is needed to access clean floor.

Heroic Volcoross gets new wave projectiles from the Scorchtail Crash tail slap to avoid, and is otherwise the same!
