This probably isn’t worth travelling out of the city for BUT, if you’re in the area, then you should come here, 100%. If only to get away from the neverending shopping centre next door. It’s very pretty and peaceful too. Sha Tin Park is a public park providing 8 hectares of rural and leisure grounds between New Town Plaza shopping mall and the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin. The park opened in 1988 and can be visited from 6.30am to 11pm daily. Sha Tin Park is a little known green space in Shatin. Part of the new town, it is a beautifully maintained park with a great view of Shing Mun River. A stroll along the riverfront is lovely.

Sha Tin Park, formerly known as Sha Tin Central Park, is a park at 2 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. It is situated along the Shing Mun River in the new town of Sha Tin, next to the New Town Plaza, Sha Tin Town Hall, and Sha Tin Public Library.
