This video kicks off our sensory systems series. There are so many important components of our vision and our visual perception skills.
Occupational therapy addresses these components, especially when there are deficits. There are visual perception tests that are performed that look at your ability for visual closure, visual figure ground and visual discrimination. Other components include visual motor skills, visual spatial skills and visual memory. Or maybe you are having difficulty with letter reversals. If you do have deficits in this area OTs will work on visual closure activities, visual perception activities or visual motor activities to help improve visual motor integration as needed.
