The Northern Boundary of Texas?!? | Rawlins Wyoming

Our perpetual road trip across the USA continues! You just never know what you'll find when you travel and explore. We certainly never expected to find a Texas historical marker indicating the northern boundary of the Republic of Texas. But, yes, the northern boundary of Texas during the 1830s was here in Rawlins WY!

This week we take you along as we visit Rawlins, Wyoming. We chose the Rawlins KOA for our 3night visit to Rawlins WY because of it's proximity to Interstate 80 and the fact that it was easy to get in and out of with our motorhome. And speaking of motorhome life, in this video we'll share some of the beautiful Wyoming scenery through our Class A motorhome's big windshield.

During this stay, and many others this year, we've noticed that a lot of folks who are traveling in their RVs on the interstate only use these small towns for one night stays. But we've found that there is always something interesting and unique to see and do in each town.

Things to do in Rawlins WY: Rawlins, we discovered the old territorial prison turned historic prison museum (the Wyoming Frontier Prison Museum) and the FREE Carbon County Museum. We also had good meals at several of the local Mom/Pop restaurants.

Next time you're traveling across the USA on Interstate 80, don't forget to visit Rawlins as you RV Wyoming!
