The No. 5 Seminoles remained undefeated after defeating Virginia Tech 3917. Virginia Tech's Bhayshul Tuten scored touchdowns going into and coming out of halftime to cut the FSU lead to 2217, but then Trey Benson went off. Benson scored touchdowns of 62 & 85 yards to seal the win for the Seminoles. He finished the game with 200 yards and two scores on 11 attempts. Jordan Travis was 1824 for 170 yards throwing the football with two touchdown passes to wide receiver Johnny Wilson. For Virginia Tech, Tuten finished the game with 210 allpurpose yards and two touchdowns.
