Hey World Creators!

Today we explore the beautiful country of Denmark! In this video we focus on a lot of historical sites and museums near Aarhus and Ribe Denmark. We do also explore a bit of a fun street food spot in Aarhus that you WILL want to stop by for a bite to eat!

The Mosegaard Museum near Aarhus Denmark happened to be hosting a Viking Moot. This was a fun experience, they had ALL kinds of vendors and activities. There were Viking bards and performers as well as mead venders, basket weavers, black smiths, and even some Viking food and beer walk displays.

The Mosegaard Museum was also a fascinating experience! It was a large museum with beautiful and immersive exhibits. It sparked curiosity and encouraged you to learn more and more. I could spend days at this museum. They also had a special exhibit on the Rus Vikings that was equally interesting and expanded your view of the impact the Vikings had.

There is a fun stop in Aarhus called Den Gamle By. It is a themed history park, sort of like Skansen in last weeks video. It is reminiscent of a pioneer village in the US, except much older. It shows what life and homes were like in Denmark during the 1700' up through the 1970's! It was a fun lil spot to wander around and try some traditional danish treats.

The 2nd destination of the video is in Ribe Denmark, a small town know for being not only the first Viking settlement, but one of the oldest remaining settlements in all of Europe. It is a picturesque little medieval town near not far from the Atlantic Ocean. Here we stayed above a café & restaurant in an old timey inn! It was so fun to see. You felt like you were living in a fairytale town. There is history all over the town! The church is hundreds of years old and you can even see the remains of the church from the 1100's! There is some remains of the old Riberhus Castle as well. Not much, but some. You can walk out onto the little island mound that is surrounded by the moat and see a few of the old bricked basements of the castle. There is also a beautiful statue dedicated to the towns Viking forbears .
