Vietnam Accuses China Brutally Assaulted & Robbed Fishers in South China Sea
Vietnam has condemned China’s violent assault on 10 Vietnamese fishers near the disputed Paracel Islands, where Chinese forces allegedly beat them with iron bars and stole fish and equipment worth thousands of dollars. The attack, which lasted three hours and involved around 40 people, left four of the crew hospitalised. Vietnam’s foreign ministry denounced the act as a severe violation of its sovereignty over the Paracel Islands, using the Vietnamese name, Hoang Sa. One of the captains described losing consciousness for an hour after the brutal beating.
