The Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in Zambia in southern Africa. The Victoria Falls are located between the the the border s „Victoria Falls“ in Zimbabwe and „Livingstone“ in Zambia. The Town Livingstone is called after „David Livingstone“ the very first European who had seen the Victoria Falls with his own eyes. David Livingstone was a Scottish missionary who visited the Victoria Falls the first time at 16th November 1855.

The official Name of the waterfall is „MosioaTunya“. The local citizen call the Victoria Falls „The Smoke That Thunders“.

The average flow rate is 1088 m³/s (38,422,39 ft³/s) per second. The highest record flow rate was 12,800 m³/s (452,000 ft³/s)
