Vet Day at the Farm | All the Dogs get a Check Up

Warning ⚠ : The dogs are having blood tests etc in this video.

Last week we had a Vet Day at the farm. With so many dogs in our care, we wanted to try and have an annual day for all the pack members to get a check up. There’s a few members that aren’t big fans of going in to the vet surgery, and so with the numbers, we thought it would be best if the vet came to the farm. Our lovely vets down at Greencross Tuggerah were very accommodating. They’re big supporters of rescue. They actually were excited to come out of the surgery for the day and spend it with the pack.

Faith’s cancer discovery has motivated us to do regular blood screening immediately and other tests for all members of the pack, not just the ageing ones. We’ve had a lot of dogs join our pack in the last 612 months, some with not a lot of health information if any.

From here, we will do individual follow up consults and specialist appointments.

We’ve already had the initial blood tests come back and there are a few that require further tests. But Hope’s results in particular have made her health a priority for further testing amongst the pack.

Overall it was a great day. The vets were amazing. So very kind and caring. Honestly they couldn’t have been any more compassionate, understanding and gentle with our special pack members.

P.S apologies I was a little late to the vet day and didn’t realise there wasn’t too much recorded for the first three. Was a little hard for Luke to handle and film I think. But Luke gives a little recap of those when I arrive.
