Vector has a new update (Version 1.6.0.3331)! Actually, only green eyes updated. Purple eyes is still on the old version to compare their behaviors.

The update includes hand holding, eye color changing, and low light detecting. Only one of those appears to work without hitches.

A major issue with the update is that petting no longer works properly. Let's hope that gets fixed!
