This homemade class B rv motorhome has many gadgets inside that will wow you. Imagine if an architect walked into a van with an electrical engineer and said “Let’s do this!” I call this Ram Promaster 159in Extended “Frank the Van” and he’s full of oneofakind architectural details inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, full offgrid/allseason capability, and top notch amenities.

The short and sweet: I built the van around stealth city living, but suspension upgrades + thoughtful system design allow for complete offgrid style too. 510 amp hours of lithium battery, 3 modes of charging, and enough water for a month before fill up make maintenance easy. A front + rear suspension upgrade + plenty of exterior storage makes overlanding as fun as city living.

Kitchen/Front
Isotherm 130 Drawer 12v fridge (the only model with a full width freezer).
Two butcher block countertops (one 24” deep, the other 15” deep).
Portable induction stove runs off the batteryNO propane/diesel in this van.
Deep sink w/ extending Moen faucet.
Airhead composting toilet.
800 watt Panasonic microwave.
Front seats on factory swivels. (Factory swivels are the ONLY way to maintain original seat height for tall riders).
Bed/Lounge/Rear

Lagun swivel table w/ custom inlay. Extra large table size.
Lounge area designed to the size of a twin bed. Just lay down to go to bed.
Dismount the table and drop it into place to create a queen size bed.
Custom real leather cushions w/ highest grade 4” foam for sleeping comfort. Easy to clean + become more beautiful with age.
Access the lights, heater, inverter, and battery monitor switches from the rear lounge/bed—no need to get up all the time to turn things on and off!
Storage

Three cubby holes in lounge bench w/ wood inlays.
Two upper cabinets w/ grain matched + embedded doors create a streamlined look.
Full height cabinet (currently stores toilet, folding bike, and microwave).
24” deep counter side has a pull out pantry and undersink storage.
15” deep counter side has six drawers w/ magnetic latches when driving.
“Kick to open” toe kick drawers look like toe kicks but provide a tone of extra secret storage.
Small item storage built into the slider and rear access doors with wood paneling.
Deep cab shelf for big items.
Yakima roof box + two Aluminess large swing away storage boxes for nondaily things.
Electrical

Three Renogy 170ah batteries create 510 amp hours of lithium power.
Recharge the system via a 320 watt REC solar panel, Renogy 40 amp DCDC charger (while driving), or shore power.
Renogy 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter

30 gallon fresh water tank inside the van (prevents winter freezing).
7 gallon gray water tank inside van drains with a remote switch.
4 gallon Bosch water heater.
2.5 gallon Berkey Water Filter w/ a custom stand included.
Interior showers are accomplished using an expandable shower pan. An exterior shower is built into the rear of the van.
Exterior

VanCompass 2” Lift Kit w/ Super Springs, rear FOX Shocks, AND front Bilstein Shocks.
Aluminess rear swing away storage boxes (2) with an included sidemount recovery kit, one toprail kit, and two interior shelves.
