The Van's RV12 ELSA is a relatively simple aircraft, but that doesn't mean its annual conditional inspection isn't without major effort and sizable teradown. Like all aircraft, there are major systems to look after, including dealing with service bulletins and ADs, wearandtear items, plus some unique items on the aircraft's Rotax 912series engine that deserve extra attention.
In this video, EAA Chapter 166's Larry Anglisano took a look at an RV12 inspection with The Spirit of Meriden Flight Club's Mark Scott, who was part of the aircraft's original build team at neighboring EAA Chapter 27 in Meriden, Connecticut.
