We bought a 2015 4WD Sprinter Van that was already converted and ready to use. Here's a walkthrough of what was done, we forgot to mention the diesel heater already in place. We have used it once for camping and are very excited about the colder weather possibilities this year (we've been using a rooftop tent for years and it's only a warm weather option and tough in random snow).

We have been casually looking for a 4x4 van for years. Budget and layout were our two biggest challenges. We are so happy to be able to use the van as is and have a list of future "wants". Can't wait to share more about our adventures and "how to" tips.
