This fabrication took a little time to figure out even though it appears simple in the parts used. Spacing, location, material, tension all had to come together just right for this to work out. I wanted a very clean look to the assist spring but still be able to service them if I need too over the long run. Parts had to be simple and be able to buy from a local hardware store with out online purchasing. Over all, it came out just the way I imagined which I am very happy. The total cost came to around $90110 dollars. I used grade 8 bolts where I can along with stainless steel. I hope this project gives someone and idea for their trailer to create and fabricate something simple, but is a huge help in getting a job done.
