Using Wrecker to Extract Car from Under Large Truck

During this heavy vehicle rescue class, the students were challenged with pulling the passenger car out from under the refuse truck which has rolled on top of it. First, the students stop the crush by placing rescue struts in to hold the large vehicle in place. These struts are then used to lift the truck slightly to get some space so the car can be pulled out. Instead of using hand winches, the students elected to use a lightduty wrecker to winch the car out. By attaching a line to each wheel, they can pull each end of the cars as needed. Obviously, we would rather have the winch line pulling slightly upward so the car doesn't dig in, but this method worked out well.
