Looking for ways to make extra money? Got a truck? Need a side gig?Today were talking about Uship.  And in this video Im going to go over the booking process for the Uship app and website. And I live in Florida, so Im routinely driving from Florida to Road America in Wisconsin, or Barber in Birmingham, VIR in Virginia, I cover a race in Texas at the Circuit of the Americas track.. Im a photographerI dont want to have to pay for flights just to go do my job, not to mention limit myself to what I can put in a checked bag.. So I use Uship. And in fact, a LOT of the time I end up making more money on the shipping part of a trip than I do taking pictures! The last time I drove up to Wisconsin, I pulled in just under $2000 driving there and back, before paying for gas and food and stuff.. Of course this requires me to own a truck and a trailer but they end up paying for themselves pretty quickly.. Lets go over what the booking process looks like and some options you have when youre deciding to take a load.Theres a couple ways to get started.. The first way is if you’ve already got a trip in mind this is how I use uship, when Im already going to a place.. But if youre just trying to start this as a business, and you dont care WHERE you go, you can just follow the money! You can put in from your home location to ANYWHERE! And when you book a few loads and find out where youre going, you can then type in that location, either back to home, or to anywhere again and just stay out there, follow the money! Make sure when youre setting up your rig youre planning for extra time, inevitably, at some point youre going to run over some debris and blow a tire and have to get out on the side of the road and swap it, or wait for help if youre unwilling to do that sort of work. You are competing with a bunch of people. But.. With some planning, you can have an edge. MOST people aren’t very polite and thats not Uship, thats just earth unfortunately. So when youre putting a bid on an item, theres a little section at the bottom where it says ‘note to customer’ always always ALWAYS fill that out. And be polite, use full sentences. “Hi, Im going to be driving up from Florida to Minnesota with a half empty trailer, I’ve got tons of space for your end table and can keep it out of the elements on my drive up!.” It doesn’t have to be much, but a little personalized message goes a REALLY long way. I have so many comments on my review section about how nice I am, and I promise I am bare minimum nice. Its just that evidently everyone else is kind of a terrible.
