Here's part 1 of my summer road trip on US 50! I went from the eastern border of Kansas all the way to the end of US 50 in Sacremento, California. In this part, I travel from Kansas City to Newton (Day 1), which is about 170 miles. Most of this day was trying to get through the cluster of the city at the beginning and then exploring small towns along the way. I love visiting small towns in Kansas! Great way to get the trip started!
