In this video, we'll show you how to prepare and respray a uPVC double door. This door was in good condition, but the panels were badly sun damaged.

After closer inspection, we found that the door had vertical spilts down the grooves, and when we put the first coat of paint on, we could see horizontal cracks in the panels.

Because the panels have a wood grain effect, it's very difficult to fill these spilts and cracks. In fact, it can actually make the damage appear worse.

Our advice in this scenario would be to replace the panels, which would really improve the finish. We advise customers to really inspect their door before deciding whether to get them resprayed.
