In this video, I detail the upgrade of my Keystone Cougar fifth wheel trailers battery capacity to 464 amp hours by installing 4 Interstate 6volt golf cart style leadacid batteries.

The only changes I've made was to swap out a damaged ground panel http://www.loveyourrv.com/replacingd... and added a catastrophic fuse right to the battery post http://www.loveyourrv.com/installedc... The system has worked well for our needs, rarely need to run the generator anymore. Cheers, Ray
They are mounted in a new plastic marine grade battery box inside the rig's front storage compartment.
This will be the heart of my offgrid power system. I also show the wiring of my solar charge controller, 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter, fuses and breakers, and the battery disconnect switch.
