Hey folks coconut oil kills and repels ticks, mites, bed bugs and mosquitoes too!
In this video, I give an update for how the coconut oil I used on my cat worked as a flea killer and repellent so far. MORE IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW!!

Organic, nonrefined, virgin coconut oil eliminated fleas and their eggs on my cat (good for dogs too!). It also repels fleas so I use it on my cat to keep her flea free.

The oil is also an excellent killer and repellent of ticks, mites, mosquitoes, and bed bugs too.

APPLICATION
Lather up your cat or dog with the coconut oil then let set in for 15 minutes next, comb out your pet. Then use a block of toilet paper to remove any fleas trapped on the comb and flush down toilet. Leave the oil on your pet for 8 hours then shampoo off.

FOR PETS WHO HATE BATHS
If it's impossible to bathe your pet that's not a problem. You can just leave the oil on them instead. It will come off through their daily grooming routine. Only thing is that if they're an outdoor pet, they'll sure come back pretty dusty. But if your pet allows you to come them everyday, this too will be of big help in removing the oil from their fur a lot faster than with just the daily grooming. It will take slightly over a month for the oil to be completely gone in this manner.

USE OIL AS PERMANENT REPELLENT
Once all the pests have been eliminated, continue on with applying the oil. This time a full body application is no longer necessary. Simply apply the oil onto the base of neck and base of tail every 7 days for the rest of the animal's life. This will repel all pests (fleas, bed bugs, mites, mosquitoes) on a permanent basis.

GIVING COCONUT OIL TO CATS & DOGS INTERNALLY AS FLEA TREATMENT
It is reported that coconut oil is not good for cats with kidney disease. Please consult with your veterinarian before giving the oil to your cats internally or your dogs for that matter.

FOR CATS
"For an averagesize cat, give ¼ to ½ teaspoon once or twice a day, Gardner recommends. Other vets recommend starting with as little as 1/8 of a teaspoon daily. Gardner says that cat owners who want to use coconut oil to treat or prevent hairballs can give it less often, such as a few times a week"

FOR DOGS
"Many veterinarian recommend starting slow with the coconut oil. A good starting dose is ¼ teaspoon daily for small dogs up 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon daily for big dogs. However, if you have an obese or overweight dog, it's suggested that coconut oil be provided no more than once a day because of its high fat content."
