In this video, I’m going to share with you some amazing scenery from Great Craggy Mountains, a Blue Ridge Mountains subrange in the Appalachian Mountains. The Craggy Mountains, known for their rugged and scenic landscapes, offer breathtaking views. Visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas, especially at higher elevations, providing opportunities for stunning photography and a chance to appreciate the beauty of nature.The Craggies are known exposed rock surfaces, High peaks, and Views of the southern Appalachian ridges. Depending on the season, visitors can experience a rich display of wildflowers, including rhododendrons and azaleas. The Craggy Gardens area, for example, is known for its vibrant bloom of Catawba rhododendrons during late spring and early summer.The Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina are the tallest of the Appalachian Mountain Chain. There are over 30 mountain peaks over 6K feet in elevation. Great Craggy Mountains, also called the Craggies, are in Bunkum County, North Carolina; For decades, millions of people visit the Craggies for its cool summer days, amazing views, and natural gardens. The Craggies are just 30 minutes from Asheville, North Carolina, home of George Vanderbilt’s magnificent 8,000acre Biltmore Estate. The Craggies border The Black Mountains; the highest range of peaks in the eastern United States. Six of the ten highest peaks in the eastern United States are in the Black Mountain range. Including Mitchell. At 6,683 ft, Mt. Mitchell is the the highest peak in the Appalachian Mountains. In fact, it’s the highest peak east of the Mississippi. Sources vary a few hundred feet, but the average elevation of The Black Mountains Range is over 6K feet. The Craggies also border The Great Balsam Mountains, where you’ll find 10 mountains above 6K feet.
