This is probably my most unpopular opinion when it comes to call ducks but it needs to be said. I don’t think we should be breeding any animals to look a certain way just because a book says so or because they will win shows. I think the most responsible and ethical way to breed animals, is with their own health and comfort as the number one priority. This applies to ducks being bred to be extremely large, just as much as those being bred to be extremely small. I just don’t understand why in 2022 the standard practice for breeding is still creating health problems, when much healthier examples of the breed also exist
