This Episode
“Doing time” in this historical cell house, which was the original Women’s Correctional Facility constructed in 1935, can be a good thing...if you're there to visit the Museum of Colorado Prisons! Each cell tells a story of some phase of life behind walls and bars. The Museum of Colorado Prisons is quite unique. It even shares a stone wall and armed towers with the prison that's just a few feet away! That prison has been in continuous operation since 1871.

St Vincent Abbey
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The monastery was built in 1924 & housed up to 90 Monks. It was built as a teaching facility, so the chapel is very modest. The part of the monastery that we got to tour was the old part so it's like walking into a time bottle! The exterior is beautiful and is something to see!

Winery at Holy Cross Abbey
What a peaceful, lovely place to have a glass (or two!) of delicious wines! Joanna and I purchased a flight of 3 wines! We recommend a visit to this little place! It's in the same area St Vincent's Abbey.

Us
Over the last 20+ years, we've owned a couple of Airstreams, a 5thwheel & now a Class A motorhome. We've traveled with Great Danes and Dobermans without the luxury of slides! (We've had some interesting times! ) Our channel is centered around our experiences as we prep for, do, and conclude our trips. BTW, we started with an Airstream because we liked their quality and design. We traded it for a 5thwheel because Mark got transferred and thought slides would be more roomie. We then traded it for another Airstream because we didn't have enough truck to pull the 5thwheel...and again because we liked the quality and design of an Airstream. We then bought our first motorhome (that we currently have) because as you can imagine it was a little hard to travel with a Great Dane and Doberman in the backside of a truck! Please keep in mind that these changes were over a 10 or so year span. Purpose of our Channel We connect with people & places by living, learning, traveling, & enjoying! Our Motto BEST DAY EVER!
