In this week's episode we remove the idler pulley on the VQ35DE and change the belt routing to reduce some peristaltic drag on the engine. The belt you will need is a 6PK1160. A 1140 can work like I used but you have to slot the tensioner. I also installed a Z1 crank pulley in place of the cheaper Ebay underdrive pulley I originally purchased. There seems to be a slight improvement in throttle response from the changes. I can't feel any performance gain at this stage.
