(Post posting: Well, it appears YT didn't process the garbage from iMovie as HD, which doesn't surprise me considering the copy is iMovie '08. Next step: FCP or FCE).

Picked up the Canon T2i on Friday and shot some photos and film this afternoon.

First pass at photos great shooting camera. Huge change from the used and beaten Canon Power Shot, as well as from an old school film SLR, the Pentax ME Super. Looking forward to a range of new lenses in the next few months.

First pass at Film: this is a glimpse of what it can do with the stock lens, shaky camera work, poor lighting, and novice experience at best. Overall, not bad for a first try! I love the 24p with the Unimatic. While you don't get to see the harsh brutality of the 1140 RPM, the overall presence that is captured at 24p is almost cinemaesque, or relaxing in a funny sort of way. I need to remember to keep the lens clean after each shot :D

Shot at 1920/24p with the crappy kit Canon 1855 lens (how I miss a prime!).

As a first try, it can only get better from here.
