Erin Unger, MD, is an Interventional Cardiologist at South Denver Cardiology Associates. In this video, Dr. Unger explains a condition called Broken Heart Syndrome, or Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy. Also known as stress cardiomyopathy. This is a temporary heart condition that weakens the heart's main pumping chamber affecting the heart's ability to pump blood.
