Le Bernardin is regarded by many critics and publications around the world as the best restaurant in the world. You read that correctly, the best restaurant IN THE WORLD! The French publication La Liste ranked it No. 1 this year, last year and several years ago they did as well. Other publications rank it either No 1, No 2, or have it consistently within the top 10. For the entire world, that's pretty good!

A big reason why Le Bernardin is so well known is because of the friendship between Chef Eric Ripert and Anthony Bourdain. The late great Anthony Bourdain loving Ripert's cooking is enough to already give it great legitimacy! But how good is one of the best restaurants in the world? A restaurant that regularly makes the list of 50 best restaurants in the world to me must be mindblowingly good to receive such praise. Is it truly that much better than all the other best restaurants in NYC? Some of the best foods in NYC that I have eaten are not even fancy places. Is Le Bernardin truly that much better than say, Katz's Deli or L'industrie Pizzeria and other iconic restaurants in NYC or iconic restaurants in the world?

We will find out together! We can't quite afford the Le Bernardin Chef's tasting menu, but we can try the Le Bernardin Lunch PreFixe menu. They did not let us film inside the dining room, but we did it anyways to bring you guys the content and an honest review as always. Hope you enjoy the content and the review!
