UNBELIEVABLE Surf and Turf STEAK AND SHRIMP | Ft. Kosmos Q

In Oklahoma, some nice fresh seafood is hard to come by! So when we saw a bunch of tasty gulf shrimp on a bed of ice at the store we just couldn't pass that up. BUT we also have something special we needed to try out on these little guys that made them even better. We've been working hard in the lab to develop the perfect seafood seasoning that would even be killer in a fish batter, and I have to say that after this little test this one might be one for the record books. As you know, no recipe is ever complete on our channel without some delicious red meat on the side, so these tasty shrimp were accompanied by two serious rib eye steaks. Its a feast for the eyes as well! Take a look and make this one for your friends and family when you're in the mood to blow some minds!

Ingredients:
Two of the nicest ribeyes you can find, that the budget allows.
1.5 lbs of fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined. Don't use that frozen crap if you don't have to.
Grapeseed Oil (it has a really high smoke point so you won't burn this oil)
Kosmos Q Cow Cover Hot Rub (Or whatever you have/like)
Kosmos Q Top Secret Lemon SPG or LSPG affectionately. (Coming soon!)
Kosmos Q Texas Beef Rub (Or whatever you have/like)
one or two lemons
one or two limes
Some melted butter with or without herbs!
A FIRE.

Recipe:
Get your fire started.
Prep and season your steaks. (we like Cow Cover Hot and Texas Beef)
Toss the shrimp in some grapeseed oil and season them with whatever you like. (We used LSPG)
Skewer those shrimp on flat skewers the flat skewers keep the shrimp from rotating as you move them around on the grill.
Cook your steaks indirect until they reach 100 Degrees F. Then sear them over the coals until they reach 127 Degrees F. Let your steaks rest wrapped in aluminum foil until your shrimp is finished.
Put a light char on your lemon and lime chunks. (our pal Guga says this makes the juices sweeter when they have a char on them!)
Cook your shrimp right over the coals and baste them with your butter!
Once the shrimps are nice and pink pull them and carve the steak in a hurry before they get cold!
Enjoy the heck out of some Oklahoma Surf and Turf.
